The Building Process

Planning

Upon agreeing to work with Cherry Ridge, Chris, President of Cherry Ridge, and the design team will meet with you to discuss your goals and vision, or help create the vision for your home or project. After discussing your personal style, size of the home or project, and the amenities desired, we will work off of one of our stock floor plans, create a floor plan through a preferred architect, or work off of the client’s floor plan and begin making any changes and improvements as needed. Next a detailed cost estimate will be drafted for your review. It is at this stage that great value of working with Cherry Ridge becomes evident. Our team thinks of little details that are often overlooked by other contractors and homeowners, and we have completed fantastic projects to stand behind that.

Selections

After the planning stage, you will receive a final firm cost agreement, so you know exactly what the new home is going to cost. You are in control of the selections and any amenity upgrades you may choose for your home. This is the fun part. Accompanied by our in house designer, you will be given access to our vendor showrooms to choose floor coverings, doors, appliances, cabinetry, countertops etc. There will be several options, colors and textures to choose from within the budget range. However, if at any time during the selection process, you want to upgrade, it’s no problem. A change order will be drafted and you will always know how upgrades will affect the budget.

Build

This is the easy part. The client is welcome to visit the home site as often or as little as he or she would like. Cherry Ridge gets to work by building your home and keeps the project rolling on a timely basis. The site is kept safe, clean and organized to provide the best working environment for subcontractors and vendors. Cherry Ridge will keep you consistently informed about how the project is progressing. For a more detailed breakdown of the construction build process, please contact our office for a breakdown sheet.

Move In

As the house is nearing completion, a final walk through with a Cherry Ridge team member will be completed. It is at this time that we want to make sure everything meets your expectations. After closing takes place, the homeowners are allowed to move in. Your Cherry Ridge home will be covered by a one-year warranty, and Cherry Ridge will keep in touch on a regular basis to make sure you are comfortable in your new home.
